The Staff Selection Commission is functioning under the Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India. Initially known as Subordinate Services Commission, it was set up on 1 July 1976 primarily to make recruitment on zonal basis for non-technical Group B and Group C posts under the Central Government, except the post for which recruitment was made by Railway Service Commission and the industrial establishments.

Staff Selection Commission has notified the SSC SI & ASI Recruitment 2016 - SSC CPO Recruitment 2016 for Vacancies to fill Group-“B & C” posts of Sub-Inspector in Central Armed Police Forces, Sub Inspector in Delhi Police & Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF in Pay Band-II Rs. 9300 – 34800 & Pay Band-I Rs. 5200 - 20200, Grade Pay Rs. 4200 – 2800  in various Central Police forces - Delhi Police (DP), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

MODE OF SELECTION:- Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their total marks in the Written Examination in Paper- I&II. Candidates will be recommended for appointment by the Commission on the basis of total marks in the Written Examination. There will be no interview

    Educational Qualifications:
    Must have passed Graduation examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent as on 01.01.2016
    Only For Delhi Police - Valid Driving License for LMV(Motor cycle and Car)

    AGE LIMIT: 20-25 years as on 01.01.2016. Age relaxation as per govt rule.

    Fee:
    Rs. 100/-. No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women and Ex-Serviceman. Fee will be paid only in the form of "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)". If you are applying Online, payment can be through Net Banking with SBI.  OR The candidates submitting their applications on-line should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of challan or net-banking.

    Closing Date:
    Last date for filling of the application for Part I is 02/02/2016 and Part II is 05/02/2016.
