NOTICE regarding CGLE 2013 – Re-examination Date - Dated 14th March 2014
In respect of the information uploaded on the website earlier regarding re-examination of CGLE-2013 at Lucknow, Patna, Allahabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Shimla and Dehradun, the Commission has decided to hold the re-examination of Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I) Examination, 2013 on 27.04.2014 (FN & AN).
The Commission has already clarified that candidates who appeared in Tier-I and Tier-II from a centre other than those mentioned above in CGLE 2013 will not have to appear in re-examination. However, those candidates who appeared in tier-I from centres other than those mentioned above BUT appeared for Tier-II from the centres mentioned above will have to appear in re-examination in Tier-II.
Further, candidates who appeared in Tier-I from the centres mentioned above and cleared Tier-I and appeared for Tier-II examination from centres other than those mentioned above will be required to take only Tier-I Re-examination.
After a busy and hectic campaign by the candidates involving a massive protest, a lot of media follow-up, pressure building through social media, there is some news regarding the same. However, there is a mass confusion as to whether the whole CGL 2013 exam has been cancelled or TIER I/II or both.
However, in order to clear the confusion regarding this we are publishing the official notifications and releases by Govt. institutions. Clarification regarding CGLE 2013 Re-examination / Date - 07 Feb 2014
In respect of the information uploaded on the website earlier regarding re-examination of CGLE-2013 at Lucknow, Patna, Allahabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Shimla and Dehradun, the Commission has received queries from candidates regarding re-examination.
The Commission hereby clarifies that candidates who appeared in Tier-I and Tier-II from a centre other than those mentioned above in CGLE 2013 will not have to appear in re-examination. However, those candidates who appeared in Tier-I from centres other than those mentioned above BUT appeared for Tier-II from the centres mentioned above will have to appear in re-examination in Tier-II.
Further, candidates who appeared in Tier-I from the centres mentioned above and cleared Tier-I and appeared for Tier-II exam from the centre other than those mentioned above will be required to take only Tier-I Re-examination and will have to clear the same.
Clarification regarding CGLE 2013 – Re-Examination / Date - 05 Feb 2014 It is clarified that CGLE-2013 re-examination at the centres mentioned on SSC website is for both Tier-I and Tier-II. All the candidates who took examination from the venues/examination centres in the cities mentioned will have to appear for re-examination.
The Commission is trying to hold the examination in April, 2014. Exact dates will be intimated soon.
CGL 2013 – Re-Examination Reference Press Note issued on 28th January, 2014 regarding re-examination at identified centres. The list of examination centres where re-examination for CGL, 2013 will be held is as follows: Lucknow, Patna, Allahabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Shimla and Dehradun. Candidates who appeared from these Centres may please note.
Earlier in the day Press Information Bureau released the news regarding cancellation of SSC CGL Tier I & Tier II 2013. The report published by PIB is as follows -
Staff Selection Commission conducted Combined Graduate Level Examination 2013 (Tier I) on April 21, 2013 and May 19, 2013. The Tier-II Exam was held on September 29, 2013. There have been reports of use of unfair means at a number of centres identified by investigation agency in Tier I and II.
Keeping in view the sanctity of the Examination, interest of the candidates and the investigation report received from Delhi Police it has been decided by the Government to hold re-examination of Tier-I and II at identified centres from where reports of use of unfair means has been received. The list of these centres will be placed on the Commission’s website shortly. Age relaxation, where required would be permitted to appear for re- examination.

Though many candidates worked hard for success in grabbing interview and non-interview posts through the CGL 2013, it is to some extent satisfactory result. Unfortunately, many of us whose exam centres have been cancelled will have to appear in the exam once again.
